This stress management and inner healing retreat program is tailored in such a way that it suits the individual’s needs and brings about a change on the levels of one’s thinking, feelings, attitudes and behavioral patterns.

Aims of the retreat

Everyday sessions in the retreat program will incorporate Restorative traditional Hatha Yoga session in the morning. These sessions of Hatha Yoga postures are designed to releasing the muscular knots and help activate vitality in the body. There is post breakfast Yogic breath work and relaxation session which aims to rectify faulty and stressful breathing patterns. Various techniques of yogic breathing help to balance and tone the nervous system and relax the mind. Intention of the session is to teach correct and healthy patterns of breathing to reset nervous system and reconnect with the vibrant energy within.

Afternoon talks on Yogic perspective and management of stress and theory of meditation will be based on timeless wisdom of ancient yoga philosophy and practices. These stimulating talks on various topics will help one to reset the self-defeating perspective of everyday life situations.

This stress management and inner healing retreat focuses to equip the participants with sound and simple techniques of Hatha Yoga, Yogic Breath-Work and Meditation techniques which they can practice at home. These various session aim to bring about the state of harmony at the different levels of the human functioning


  • Dedicated practical and theory teaching sessions every day.
  • Morning traditional Hatha yoga session for rejuvenation of body-mind and to deepen body intuition and mindfulness in practice.
  • Post breakfast session on Hatha Yogic breath-work and meditation session every day.
  • One individualized Hatha Yoga and one meditation sessions (an hour each) included in the package.
  • Every day post-Lunch talks on various topics such as Healing the body through Yoga postures and Breath-work, Effectiveness of meditation in management of stress, Eastern and yogic perspective on cause of suffering and prevention and Concept of Mind Management in Yoga.
  • Dedicated evening theory and practical meditation workshop sessions on highly intense and transforming meditation techniques such as Yoga Nidra (psychic sleep), Antar Mouna (a technique to witness thoughts), Ajapa Japa (Mindful mantra meditation) and Heart Healing Meditations. During these sessions nuances of these meditations will be discussed.
  • One Ayurveda life-style Consultation and Dosha assessment with our resident Ayurveda Doctor.
  • 3 Ayurvedic Spa Treatments as recommended by our Ayurveda doctor after Dosha consultation.

Dressed in a traditional white cotton kurta and trousers, Sushant Pandey is the opposite of the Lycra-clad yogis of the West. As you practice with him, you begin to understand what the discipline is all about. Pandey radiates calm and can backbend his lean, flexible frame almost in two with supreme ease, yet his message is not that we need to be tying ourselves in knots or standing on our head. It’s about ‘being’ rather than ‘doing’ and a session may find you focusing on breathing methods and sitting postures rather than complicated positions. That doesn’t mean you don’t work hard: under his gentle and graceful guidance, you’ll find yourself deeply engrossed, stretching to your limits in the meditative detail of even the simplest postures, such as the tree pose. Pandey’s combination of ancient yogic techniques and an understanding of the 21st-century psyche encourage a profound shift in our day-to-day lives. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, your mind, body and yoga practice will be transformed.

Sushant’s family upbringing and schooling took place in Bihar. He embarked on his journey of yoga in 1997 as a postgraduate student of Yoga psychology in Bihar Yoga Bharati (Deemed University of Yoga) and later worked as a Lecturer in the department of Yoga Psychology for 5 years. Yoga is very much part of Sushant’s family. As a student of Yoga Psychology, he got opportunity to study the various philosophical streams of yogic discipline, application of yogic principles and practices as psychotherapeutic tools and role of yoga in various organizations and life activities.

Sushant spent 8 years at Bihar school of Yoga, which is an ashram and a gurukul. Being a student and resident of the ashram he got the opportunity to not only study yoga practices and philosophy but to live the yogic life-style as followed traditionally in ashrams and monasteries in India. He learnt yoga in its most traditional form and approach. The teaching which he received there was of Integral yoga which combines the various aspects of yogic discipline like asana (posture), Pranayama (breathing), Shatkarma (Yoga- detox), Dhyana (meditation), mantra chanting etc.
